Using Conditional Triggers To Control Funnel Journey

You can control the funnel journey based on Conditional triggers using the Condition node when creating your funnel.

For example, you can use a condition that if someone rejects an Upsell offer, he will be directed to a Downsell offer. But if he accepts it, he will not see the Downsell offer and proceed to see another Upsell offer.

In this guide I will show how you can use Conditions in your sales funnel.

First, let’s import the pre-made template eBook.

Go to your funnel dashboard and click on the Add New Funnel button.

Now, hover on a template and click on import.

Once the template is imported, the steps will be added.

Now, let’s say, we would like to add a different layout of the Thank You page if the user added the order bump to the cart, that what he will normally see without accepting the order bump offer.

To do so, first, create another Thank You page.

Click on the + Step button and select Thank You from the left side.

Here, hover your mouse on a template and click on import to import the Thank you page template.

A new Thank You step will be added to your funnel.

Now, cross out the current connection between the Checkout and the Thank You page.

To do so, simply right-click on the connector that connects Checkout and Thank You page, and then click on the cross button, and the connection will be removed.

Then, click on the + Condition button to add a conditional node.

Click on it and then click on the Edit button to open its settings drawer.

WP Funnels Conditional Node Rules

Here you can set new rules/ conditions. Let’s set it to “Order bump is accepted” and then click on the Save Changes button.

Next, connect the checkout step to this node. From the true end, connect the Thank you page you want the user to go to when order bump is accepted, and from the false end, connect to the other Thank you page.

WP Funnels Canvas Connect The Steps

According to our new rule, if the order bump is added to the shopping cart from the Checkout page, it will take the user to our original Thank You page, else it will take the user to our newly created Thank You page.

Click on the Save button and then click on the View button to see the funnel in action.

Now, while testing the funnel, check on the order bump from the funnel checkout and continue to the Thank You page.

WP Funnels Checkout Order Bump Option

Here you will find a new Thank You page for selecting the order bump on the Checkout page.

That’s how easy it is to set conditional directions to control your funnel journey easily.
