How to Create Auto Coupons in Mail Mint

Mail Mint makes creating well-planned automation workflows for your WooCommerce store simple, using an intuitive and visual interface.

Requirements:

To enable the auto coupon feature, ensure the following:

  1. WooCommerce: A live WooCommerce store is required, as this feature is exclusively for WooCommerce.
  2. Mail Mint & Mail Mint Pro: This is a Pro feature. You must have both the basic and Pro versions of the Mail Mint plugin installed and activated to send automated coupon emails.

Here is a step-by-step process to automatically create auto coupons and send them out to buyers.

Step 1: Create an Automation Workflow for First Order Placement

  1. Go to Mail Mint > Automation and click on New Automation.

2. Click on “Start From Scratch.”

    3. A blank automation canvas will open. Rename it to suit your needs, for example, “Auto Coupon Email Automation.”

    4. Then, click on Select A Starting Point, and under WooCommerce, choose “First Order In Store.”

Step 2: Initiate Auto Coupons Generation

    1. Click on the plus (+) icon, and under WooCommerce, choose “Create Coupon.”

    2. Once it’s added, configure it on the right side.

Step 3: Set up the initial email

    1. Next, click on the plus (+) icon below and choose the action “Send An Email.”

    2. Set up the email subject line and preview text on the right side, along with the sender’s name, email, and reply-to details.

    3. Scroll down on the right panel and click on “Design Your Email” to proceed.

    4. You will get the option to start from scratch or choose a template.

    5. After your choice, it will be taken to the drag-and-drop email builder.

    6. Customize the email copy and make it exciting while being appreciative.

Step 4: Use Merge Tags to Implement the Auto Coupon in the Email

    1. Place a merge tag in the email where you want to place the auto coupon.
      • Place the cursor where you want to display the coupon.
      • Click on the Personalization
      • A list will appear. Here, click on WC coupons.
      • Select the auto-coupon you created (its title will be there).

    2. It will appear as a merge tag (as it will be a dynamic coupon, unique for each user). Afterward, click “Next” in the top right corner to return to the canvas.

Step 5: Set A Delay Till The Delivery Date
    1. On the canvas, add a delay action.

    2. On the right side, set a delay based on your estimated delivery time. For example, if you usually take 1 day to deliver, then add a 1-day delay.

Step 6: Add a reminder email right after delivery
    1. Add the next email after the delay to thank them for the order and remind them about the coupon.

    2. Follow Steps 3 and 4 to configure this email.

Step 7: Add a final reminder before the coupon expires.

    1. Add another delay, keeping one day at hand before it expires.
    2. Create an email for a final reminder.

    And that’s it!

You have just created an automation workflow to send out auto coupons to customers who place an order for the first time in your WooCommerce store!
