Conditional node is required when you want to use a condition on your funnel.
For example, you may want to show your user a different Thank You page if the order bump added to the Checkout, or if the cart total is more than $100.
In this doc I will show how you can add a conditional node on a pre-made template.
Here, lets import the pre-made template eBook.
Go to your funnel dashboard and click on the Add New Funnel button.
Now, select eBook template and click on the Import button.
It will take you to the funnel steps.
You will see that few steps are already there.
Configure your Checkout step to continue.
Here, I’ve added a product ‘Cap’ to the Checkout, and added an order bump ‘Belt’.
If you click on the View option, you will see this eBook funnel in action.
When you proceed to the Thank You page via Checkout, you will get the following view like this (order bump wasn’t added to the cart):
Now, lets say, we would like to add a different layout of the Thank You page if the user added the order bump to the cart.
To do so, we need to create another Thank You page.
Let’s import the Weight Loss Thank You page.
Click on the Step button and select Thank You from the left dashbar.
Hover your mouse on the Weight Loss – Thank You and you will get an option to import the template.
Click on the Import button.
A new Thank You step will be added to your funnel.
Lets edit the page first.
Select the new Thank You page and click on the Edit option, and edit the page as you want.
Now, cross out the current connection between the Checkout and the Thank You page.
Right click on the connector that connects Checkout and Thank You page, and then click on the cross button, and the connection will be removed.
You can now re-arrange the steps to make them fit to the window.
Now, click on the Condition button to add a conditional node.
Once you click on the Condition button, a conditional node will be added to your canvas.
Lets set a new condition.
Click on the Edit button of the conditional node.
Here you can set new rules/ conditions and click on Save Changes button.
This condition/ rule will be used as the True value.
For example, here we’ve set the order bump as accepted.
Now, connect the steps with the node.
Our condition is now set.
According to our new rule, if the order bump is added to the shopping cart from the Checkout page, it will take the user to our original Thank You page, else it will take the user to our newly created Thank You page.
Click on the Save button and then click on the View button to see the funnel in action.
Now, while testing the funnel, check on the order bump from the funnel checkout and continue to the Thank You page.
Here you will find a new Thank You page for selecting the order bump on the Checkout page.
This is how you can play with different conditions using the conditional nodes.
