The Email Engagement tab shows how your audience is interacting with your emails — open rates, click rates, and the best times to send. This helps you understand what’s resonating with your subscribers and when to reach them for maximum impact.
Click the Email Engagement tab under Mail Mint → Analytics to access this page.
All data defaults to the Last 30 days and can be adjusted using the date range picker in the top-right corner.
Overview KPI Cards
Four key engagement metrics are shown at the top of the page:
- Avg Open Rate – The average percentage of recipients who opened your emails in the selected period.
- Avg Click Rate – The average percentage of recipients who clicked a link in your emails.
- CTOR (Click-to-Open Rate) – The percentage of people who clicked a link out of those who actually opened the email. This is a stronger indicator of content relevance than click rate alone.
- Unsubscribe Rate – The percentage of recipients who unsubscribed after receiving an email.

Each card shows a comparison to the previous period using percentage point difference (e.g., +26.4pp vs prev 30d), helping you track whether engagement is improving or declining.
Open & Click Rate Trend
The Open & Click Rate Trend chart plots three metrics daily across the selected date range:
- Open Rate – shown in blue
- Click Rate – shown in green
- CTOR – shown in orange

This helps you spot patterns in engagement over time – for example, identifying which days campaigns performed better or whether engagement has been consistently improving.
Best Send Times
The Best Send Times heatmap shows when your subscribers are most likely to open your emails, based on opens by day and hour over the last 90 days. Days of the week run across the top (Mon–Sun) and time slots run down the left side (6 AM, 9 AM, 12 PM, 3 PM, 6 PM).
Each cell shows the number of opens recorded at that day/time combination. Cells are color-coded by intensity:
- Light – Low engagement
- Medium – Mid engagement
- Dark blue – High engagement

Use this heatmap to schedule your campaigns and automations at the times your audience is most active.
Top Performing Emails
The Top Performing Emails table lists your best emails ranked by open rate, covering both campaigns and automations. This helps you identify which subject lines, content types, or sending times consistently drive the highest engagement.
